Productronica, which is being held from 15-18 November 2005 at the New Munich Trade Fair Center in Germany - is the world's leading trade show for electronics production. This year, an expanded 'EMS Village' - an information and discussion platform for the providers and users of electronics manufacturing services, will be continued in Hall A6. This reflects the immense significance of this growth industry, which now finds itself on the upswing again - an industry for which the research company iSupply is forecasting a world market volume of $164,4 bn for the year 2008.
This is also the perspective of the 104 companies that have secured themselves floor space as exhibitors at the EMS Village to date. All together, the EMS exhibitors hail from 14 different countries. Although most leading global companies will be present, the focus is not restricted to these industry giants. One of the observable trends can be seen in the tendency of EMS providers to diversify more strongly than in the past, while increasing numbers of mid-sized companies are pressing ahead with development projects in cooperation with EMS providers.
At EMS Village, those who visit can gain an impression of the current situation and selectively gather information within the following three areas:
* Contract manufacturing for the production of components/circuit carriers.
* Contract manufacturing for the production of assemblies and equipment.
* Developmental support services, such as prototype making.
Munich Trade Fairs International organises this event as part of its 'Global electronics' network, which includes trade shows around the world and an Internet portal.
