Plastic-boxed capacitors for DC applications

Wima's metallised polyethylennaphthalate (PEN) film capacitors with box encapsulation are designed for surface mounting. Available in sizes 1210, 1812, 2220, 2824, 4030, 5040 and 6054, they can operate at temperatures from -55°C up to 125°C.

Capacitance range is 1000 pF to 6,8 μF, and rated available voltages are: 63, 100, 250, 400, 630, and 1000 V d.c. The encapsulation is made of solvent-resistant, flame-retardent plastic case, UL 94 V-0.

Typical uses are for general DC-applications for example: bypassing; blocking; coupling and decoupling; and timing. These self-healing capacitors are also suitable for lead-free soldering.
