Complementing Molex's existing 600 V fixed (one-piece) high-power terminal block family, the company's EuroMax interconnect system offers design engineers a two-piece pluggable system and is claimed to be the industry's highest current solution with up to 85,0 A per circuit at 600 V. The EuroMax interconnect system is well-suited for a variety of high-power industrial applications, such as motors and drives, process controls, electrical energy controls and load control systems.
Available in a horizontal plug and right-angle header version, it features an additional pluggability advantage for easy servicing or field repair and replacement. It offers a highly-redundant parallel contact system to maximise performance, and all hardware components are copper-based alloys to optimise thermal compatibility. Manufactured with a high-temperature housing material, the EuroMax interconnect system is also able to withstand lengthy solder pre-heat conditions. The header blade features three PCB tails, providing a robust PCB connection. Plus, the design has a screwdriver slot built-in on circuit counts of four and above to help ease de-plugging.
The EuroMax interconnect system is available in two to 10 circuits and up to eight circuits for the versions with optional mounting ends that provide added security.
