1 kW power supply for single-phase networks

16 November 2005 Power Electronics / Power Management

With the Quint Power 24 V, 40 A power supply, Phoenix Contact has expanded its range of single-phase power supplies for universal industrial applicability. In particular, they are suitable for global use thanks to their wide input voltage range from 85 to 264 V a.c. and 120 to 350 V d.c. as well as their international certification package.

The output voltage can be adjusted freely between 22,5 and 29,5 V d.c., depending on the respective application. The power supply with Power Boost power reserve provides output current of 45 A at nominal voltage and an ambient temperature of 60°C. This way, consumers with high start-up currents are catered for. In the event of a short circuit in the consumer, secondary fuses react. In case of supply failures, full output power is available for more than 20 ms, thus ensuring operation even in unstable networks.

For monitoring purposes, clear LED signalling, a voltage-free relay contact, and an active transistor switching output are provided. If increased performance or redundancy is required, the devices can be connected in parallel. Operation is possible from -25 to +70°C. Dimensions are 240 x 130 x 125 mm, and weight 2,5 kg.
