Ergo-case range enhanced

16 November 2005 Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services Surveillance

OKW's Ergo-Case range of enclosures has already been known to the technical world for some time now. The product range is characterised by its convex design, which follows the curves of the body. As 'bodycases' they make it possible for the user to wear it comfortably - whether on his/her arm, on chest or round the waist. This innovative range of cases can also be used as handheld, desktop and wall-mounted cases.

In order to give even greater emphasis to customers' requirements, OKW has expanded the range of Ergo-Cases with several standard versions. Firstly, the medium-sized Ergo-Case M is now also available without battery compartment or lid for more installation volume; if required it can also be supplied with an optional seal to achieve a protection level up to IP54.

The two standard colours - off-white (RAL 9002) and black (RAL 9005) - continue the homogeneous appearance of the range. For mobile use, one may also choose, not only the familiar webbing belts, but also, a push-on clip for size M and for version S, the smallest case.

The use of large-volume display modules is also possible: with the largest version, Ergo-Case L, and a display trim with a flat design. The displays can be mounted on the PCB or the attachment towers in the top part. This innovative trim snaps securely into the top part, but a screw fastening is also possible if required.

To protect the membrane keyboard, the display and operating panels are recessed. A total of four versions are available here, in the standard colours: the display trim matches the basic case in off-white/black, or in transparent polycarbonate.

For stationary use or for charging or putting down, suitable wall brackets are available for all three basic versions S, M and L. The applications of the Ergo-Case range of cases are highly diverse, varying from mobile data acquisition and transmission, digital communication technology, through warehousing and sales logistics.
