Legrand's polyester Marina cabinets and Atlantic stainless steel enclosures are designed for use in any environment, but are particularly well suited for corrosive conditions. These enclosures ensure maximum safety and provide the ordered arrangement and optimum protection of electrical components like terminal blocks, switches and sockets, fuse carriers, safety transformers and circuit breakers.
Atlantic control panel enclosures in 304 L stainless steel have a high quality, easy-to-clean brushed stainless steel finish, an extra surface protection, stainless steel screws and hinges, as well as welded rounded doors. These rust-proof units also have a reversible cabinet, a protective flange, double bar locks and a unique facility where devices like supports or pushbuttons may be attached to the inside of the door. A backplate enables easy installation, as there is no need to drill.
Atlantic cabinets have an IP66 index protection rating and conform to IEC quality standards. They are available in sizes of between 300 x 200 x 160 mm and 1400 x 800 x 400 mm.
Marina glass fibre reinforced polyester cabinets are self-extinguishing at 960°C and can withstand temperature ratings of between -40 and +80°C. These cabinets have an IP65 index protection rating for protection against dust and water and have been adapted to withstand corrosive environments, with superior resistance to UV, saline mist, bases, oils and greases.
Marina cabinets are available in sizes between 300 x 220 x 160 mm and 1028 x 818 x 300 mm, all fitted with a reversible door opening of 180°. These cabinets are supplied with a set of internal mounting accessories for easy and secure attachment. Accessories include double bar locks and metal keys.
Legrand offers a technical advisory service and an on-going training programme keeps staff and distributors abreast with new products, applications and trends.

Understanding solder dross: causes and control strategies
Truth Electronic Manufacturing
Editor's Choice Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services
Dross formation is an inevitable consequence of wave soldering. It occurs when molten solder comes into contact with oxygen, forming metal oxides that float on the surface of the solder bath. Over time, this oxidation byproduct accumulates and must be removed to maintain solder quality and process consistency.
