Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services
OKW's Robust-Boxes have been designed for harsher environments where electronics need protection from water and dust, as well as bumps and knocks. Typical applications will include machine shops, marine, farming, food industry, medical and security.
The universal enclosures are sealed to IP66, and are available in 25 sizes from 80 x 80 x 60 mm to 360 x 240 x 160 mm. Two materials are offered: ABS (UL94HB) or polycarbonate (UL94HB), in light grey. The polycarbonate versions were more suitable for outdoor use.
Robust-Boxes can be easily mounted to a wall or machine, or can be used as handheld controllers or table-top units. Both the top and base parts have a recess for mounting membrane keypads or product ident and operation labels. Internal screw pillars are provided for PCBs and terminal blocks, for instance.
Replacement cover strips in grey, red, yellow, green and blue allow the devices to be colour coded to indicate different applications or functions. Other accessories include hinges, DIN-rails, feet and mounting blocks.
