Power Electronics / Power Management
Solar technology has now progressed to deliver efficient DC energy out in the field for many mobile devices. Solar manufactures solar products for low power consumption PDA and cellular users in the field, up to applications that include anything from lights to GPS units to industrial communication devices.
* Scotty charger: Developed as a low cost charger for use anywhere as long as the sun is shining, this device is small, compact and allows the user to have power for charging a PDA, cellular phone or any low current device of a similar nature.
* e.Go charger: Developed for the more professional user, the e.Go offers the mobility of increased current supply of the Scotty and a more efficient time charging operation allowing the user more power for less sun. Back-up is provided by four AA re-chargeable batteries.
* SCS6/SCS14: for use in most industrial applications, the power availability of these units allows the user to have more time on hand. Applications for this would include laptops, industrial devices and other mobile applications with similar current requirements. Housed in a high IP-rated box with a detachable solar panel, the SCS range is user-friendly.
