LXI-compliant test product line-up increases

22 February 2006 Test & Measurement

Agilent Technologies' sole local distributor, Concilium Technologies, has announced that its offering of products designed to be LXI-compliant now totals 35.

Agilent, one of the founding members of the LXI Consortium and an advocate of LAN-standards-based instrumentation, recently expanded its offering to include the following products:

* The Agilent 34980A multifunction switch/measure unit.

* The Agilent 34410A and 34411A 6½-digit DMMs.

* The Agilent N6701A and N6702A modular power supplies.

"LXI is the future of test, and this represents our commitment to delivering industry-leading products that are compliant," says Scott Sampl, vice president, Agilent's System Products Division. "Agilent Open and the LXI standard enable fast, efficient, and cost-effective creation of test systems in a global environment."

These products are also part of Agilent Open, a program that ensures industry-standards-based open connectivity in hardware and software. Complete LXI certification requires review from the LXI Consortium. Agilent is in the process of this final certification and upon completion will begin shipping these products with full LXI compliance.

"With the acceptance of LXI as an enabling technology for more effective test system design, you will be certain to see more and more products that are LXI compliant, and Agilent is leading the way," says Steve Alves, Concilium's managing director.
