Regulator buffer UPS for 12/24 V systems

22 February 2006 Power Electronics / Power Management

Feas' LDR4012 and LDR4024 Accupacks with charging regulators serve to buffer 12 V and 24 V systems.

The Accupack LDR is connected between the line voltage and the installation, to provide DC to the equipment. In the event of a mains power failure, 'on-board' sealed batteries supply the system, connected to the outlet. The supply-duration depends on the load current of the consumer. The batteries are easily replaceable, if necessary.

To provide the required power and in order to maintain a wide input voltage range, a switch-mode power-supply is built-in. This means for AC-input voltage, a range from 85 to 270 V and for DC-input voltage a range from 150 to 400 V is possible.

In any kind of operation, normal or emergency, full load can be drawn from the LDR4012/24 units. For a limited period, peak-current can exceed the nominal current by up to 50%. The output is short-circuit-proof and also protected against incorrect polarity. Two built-in relays allow remote monitoring of the status of the LDR.

These modern power supplies are designed in accordance to the relevant international regulations and work with high efficiency.
