Founded in 1981, Ebso is a German-based company that offers a line of quality production equipment specialising in electronic component lead-forming and trimming, as well as a complete line of selective- and wave-solder machines. The company's Model SPA 250/400 selective soldering systems are used for selective soldering throughhole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
These machines are ideal for single and multipoint soldering of ICs, PGAs, connectors, as well as large components. Typically: flat connectors; coils; transformers (small); relays; timer drive motors; clock spools/coils; magnetic heads; ignition coils; magnetic valves; etc.
A large selection of nozzles for all component shapes and sizes is available. The 'Nitrogen inert' units also enable lead (Pb)-free soldering due the titanium solder bath unit. Optional quartz preheater is available.
The Ebso Windows-based Offline Editor software helps make the programming quick and easy. The on-board controller with touch screen controls: fluxing; preheating; nitrogen flow; solder temperature; solder duration; wave height; x,y,z, axes.
Only a few steps are required for a soldering program. The Offline Editor is around 70% quicker to set up than conventional teach-in methods when programming the complete soldering process.
