Osram Opto Semiconductors' has added a 6,9 cm member to its Pictiva line of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) graphic display products. The 128 x 64 dot display is the company's largest solution and offers a lifetime of 55 000 hours. According to the company, this extensive lifetime enables OLED displays to now enter the mainstream commercial, medical and industrial markets where high performance, wide viewing angles and long life are critical components.
Osram's OLED offering ranges from 2 cm to 6,9 cm in diagonal. In addition to an ultra-wide 180° viewing angle, 2000:1 contrast ratio, rapid video-response capabilities and a thin profile, the company says that the new Pictiva display enables excellent readability and presentation of graphic and text images. Pictiva products are driven by standard IC-driver technology that supports both parallel and serial interfaces.
