Mean Well introduced its SE-1000 series, a 1000 W enclosed-type switching power supply, for the growing demand of low cost high-wattage applications. Featuring 0,45 W/cm³ of power density and a built-in DC ball-bearing fan, the SE-1000 series can provide full output power in up to 50°C of ambient temperature.
Along with the standard features of remote On/Off control, remote sense function, and DC-OK signal output, SE-1000 offers an economical alternative with high application flexibility. Suitable application areas are for general electronic applications, factory automation, the moving sign industry and others. Complying with UL and CSA safety and performance standards, the SE-1000 series is targeted at the high wattage market with cost concerns.
Key features include: AC input range selectable between 115/230 V a.c.; short circuit, OLP, OVP, OTP protections; built-in DC fan; and compact 27,8 x 12,7 x 6,35 cm dimensions.
