EAO continues to expand its range of keyboard products with new variants in line with its policy of flexibility in adapting standard products to meet market challenges.
The new version of its W.series incorporates a brushed stainless steel front plate with superior tactile feel Zamak keys, both of which provide resistance to shock and vandalism. Key markings are enhanced by using laser engraving methods to give better resistance to wear and easier customisation.
Two new features are also offered. The first is a trackball using solid-state optical navigation technology to provide full sealing to IP67. The only moving part in the entire assembly is the ball itself, whose movement is sensed directly without the need for shafts, separate encoders and opto-couplers. The result is a product requiring little or no maintenance. Secondly, the width of the keyboard has been reduced to offer increased compactness, whilst maintaining the normal full set of 63 keys.
