Plastic case catalogue: OKW 2006/2007

6 April 2006 News

The latest 2006/2007 edition of OKW Gehäusesysteme's plastic case catalogue is now available from Avnet Kopp. The catalogue comprises 116 pages, and its easy-to-understand structure offers interested users a fast and informative overview of the varied and constantly growing range of OKW cases.

All new products and product innovations have been integrated since the last edition, for example the Diatec range of wall-mounted and desktop cases. A selection using application classifications allows customers to find the product they need, on the basis of their individual application. The familiar OKW classification by mobile, wall-mounted, desk, table and electronics cases is still used.

Detailed product drawings (in pdf format) have been stored on a separately available CD. The CD also contains the electronic product catalogues, assembly instructions, material data sheets, safety data sheets in accordance with 91/155/EEC (.xls) and more.

For each type of case the catalogue contains instructive photos, information about the advantages of the respective products as well as recommendations about the most important fields of application. The relevant information on the PCB size and the recessed control panel serves as an aid to orientation for selecting the right case.

The many different options for customer-specific modification are described in detail in the appendix to the catalogue, for example drilling, milling, punching, tapping, countersinking, bonding, screen and tampo printing, lacquering, tools, assembly and individual injection moulding. The finishing methods have recently been supplemented by the production of deep-drawn and flexible parts from laminated material as well as the production of graphic overlays and membrane keyboards. For the shielding of electronic equipment, OKW has now developed its own EMC vapour-plating process, which it has called Alvacoat 250.
