Maximum design flexibility promised with modular switch range

6 April 2006 Switches, Relays & Keypads

EAO says it offers manufacturers maximum design flexibility together with fast and simple construction with its globally-recognised range of durable, stylish and modular Series 04 switches.

EAO's reliable Series 04 range with its square and round indicators, pushbuttons, rotary switches, emergency stops and mushroom-headed pushbuttons, meet worldwide standards and approvals. The modular Series 04 fulfils all customer needs in terms of functionality and design.

These pushbuttons or indicators can either be flush-mounted to a panel, providing protection against accidental operation, or raised for viewing the status from the side. Additional lens protection can be achieved with an extended or sealed ring. Lenses are available in a selection of colours together with film inserts for legends or symbols, and may be illuminated with either high-intensity LEDs that have a virtually limitless service life or incandescent lamps.

Series 04 snap-action or slow-make pushbuttons come standard with hard silver contacts. For particularly aggressive environments, silver/palladium contacts can be specified, and for switching lower currents, a gold-plated contact is available. There is a choice of either screw or plug-in terminals. The variety of switching elements enables currents from 2 mA/110 V d.c. to 10 A/24 V d.c.
