Heavy duty vandal-resistant pushbutton series

17 May 2006 Switches, Relays & Keypads

Designed for extremely rugged applications, ITW Switches' Series 76-95 offers designers the ultimate in a tough, sealed pushbutton switch that can handle a heavy-duty electrical load as well as a rough environment.

The main switch body and button are created using rugged stainless steel with front mount styling. The vandal-resistant chrome button and bezel protrude a maximum of 2,5 mm from the front panel including sealing washer. This low profile makes it difficult for vandals to pry the switch from its mounting. It also can withstand impacts of significant force.

The Series 76-95 offers both a choice of snap-in basic switches (single-pole or double-pole). The snap-in switch elements are UL-listed and CSA-certified and feature silver or gold contacts with current-carrying capacities up to 10 A. Exact current ratings are (silver contacts) from 3 A at 28 V d.c. to 10 A at 125 V a.c. and (enhanced gold contacts) from 8 A at 28 V d.c. to 6 A at 115 V a.c. This series also operates reliably from -30°C to 105°C. In addition, it meets the IP67 rating which exceeds NEMA 4X.
