Ultra-low profile wire-wound chip coil

Murata has manufactured for commercial use a wire-wound type, ultra-low profile chip coil, claimed to be the lowest profile wire-wound type for DC-DC converter circuits in the industry. The LQH2MC series is intended to be used in the DC-DC power circuits of small mobile equipment such as cellular phones.

Murata used its own ferrite formation techniques and wire-wound technologies to make the RoHS-compatible device that measures only 2,0 x 1,6 x 0,7 mm (max).

Current and frequency characteristics are equivalent to the company's conventional LQH_C product (ie, flat inductance over DC current and superior Q versus frequency) making it suitable for the switching frequency range of DC-DC converter circuitry. The current line-up includes inductance values ranging between 1,0 and 10 μH.
