Miniaturised discrete package portfolio broadened

Responding to the portable product industry's need for further miniaturisation of discrete component packaging, ON Semiconductor has introduced three new Schottky and three new ESD diodes in a 1,4 x 0,6 x 0,5 mm SOD-723 package. Portable product designers require smaller diodes and transistors for their power management, switching and protection applications to enable expanded features without increasing the product's size or reducing power efficiency. The six devices now offered in the SOD-723 package include Schottkys and ESD diodes. With package dimension of 1,4 x 0,6 x 0,5 mm, the SOD-723 package helps free-up much needed board space, offering a 73% reduction in footprint and 50% reduction in profile height compared to the SOD-323 package.
