Since its inception in 1987, Seoul Semiconductor has been a leading force in the LED manufacturing industry in Korea with advanced process technologies and innovative management systems.

The white LED market has been gradually growing and Seoul Semiconductor has a number of patent-protected superior white LED offerings for various applications. Power white LEDs for SMT use offer very high performance with high ESD (20 kV), a wide range of correlated colour temperature (2650 K-10 000 K), high reliability (time to the reach 50% degradation of lumen output is 70 000 hr at 350 mA).

The company's 1 W 'warm white' LED, the Power-N series, emits what it claims is the world's highest brightness of 35 lm. Also, Seoul Semiconductor offers a 5 W warm white LED that emits 120 lm at 1400 mA and can replace incandescent lighting sources for more efficiency. The Z Power LED delivers more than 40 lm/W and has one of the highest efficiencies in the market.

The company has also improved LEDs for back lighting of displays to create more colours on the NTSC standard. This product has a wider colour gamut than the conventional white due to proprietory phosphor technologies, delivering enriched red and blue wavelengths.

The FCW100 Flash LED is the smallest LED designed for flashlight, mobile handset, other applications. It generates 3500 mcd at 175 mA from a package size of only 2,0 x 1,5 x 0,45 mm.
