First LXI-certified function/arbitrary waveform generator now available

28 June 2006 Test & Measurement

Agilent Technologies has released the first LXI-certified 20 MHz function/arbitrary waveform generator with variable-edge pulses and pulse-width modulation. Part of Agilent Open, the updated Agilent 33220 A provides engineers with superior performance for the design, verification, and test of electronic components, sub-assemblies and end products.

According to Andrew Lees, internal sales team leader at local Agilent distributor, Concilium Technologies: "Agilent Open is a versatile combination of hardware, I/O, and software tools that makes it easy to create, enhance and maintain systems that can include GPIB, PXI, VXI and LXI devices. LXI provides an architecture that ensures fast, efficient creation and reconfiguration of test systems - without overloading your budget or your team."

"The Agilent 33220A has uncompromising performance using direct digital synthesis techniques to create stable accurate output signals with low distortion. You can also use the 33220A to generate complex custom waveforms to reproduce 'real world' signals for tolerance testing," he adds.

"We are committed to providing the widest selection of products available to substantiate our commitment to the LXI standard," said Scott Sampl, vice president and general manager of Agilent's System Products Division. "There are currently more than 40 worldwide test and measurement companies dedicated to delivering on the standard."

Agilent has 47 LXI-certified products, including the 34980A switch measurement unit, L4400 LXI switch modules, 34410A/34411A digital multimeters, N8200 synthetic instrument family, N6700B Series low-profile modular power system and N5700 Series system DC power supplies.
