Rust damages and destroys valuable metallic products. Due to corrosion and the resultant damage, manufacturing companies are incurring huge annual losses. This is damage that can be prevented. According to HKM, with the help of its 'intelligent' Corrust High-Tech packaging, rust and corrosion are preventable.
Corrust is a VCI-laminated corrugated packaging product where the coating-molecules evaporate, fill and saturate the enclosed space. Due to the polarity character of the molecules, the surface of the metallic product is covered and any chemical reaction with air is prohibited (passivation). Sufficient impregnation protects the product for a long period of time. If need be, a humidity barrier can be applied in order to keep moisture away and prohibit corrosion with the substances enclosed in the paper liner.
