Electrical charges are generated between many surfaces. The different potential of these charges are a danger to electronic components. Altico, a division of Actum Electronics, can offer protection with its Corstat-Cortronic range of products against the dangers of ESD (electrostatic discharge).
The Corcontainer, manufactured by HKM Coated Products allows one to safely pack, transport, store and ship electronic components. ESD dangers can only be prevented by avoiding high potential differences and by using shielded layer materials. The Corcontainer controls these potential differences as it uses materials with a surface resistance of 102 to 108 Ω. Protective shielding layers coated on the outside or integrated in the corrugated board, ensure full protection against ESD. These products are also non-polluting and recyclable.
