Geotest's MTS-207 is an ultra-rugged, portable PXI-based configurable solution for field-testing as well as data acquisition solutions. This ruggedised PXI test set is a member of the company's range of field and flight line solutions for military and industrial applications.
The core architecture is based on the MTS-206, a military-qualified flight line tester for the Maverick Missile System, which supports I-level test requirements and employs a compact and rugged enclosure. Beneath the rugged enclosure, there is a 14-slot PXI chassis mainframe with one slot dedicated to a 6U PXI controller. Slots two through seven can accommodate either 3U or 6U PXI/cPCI instruments, while slots eight through 14 accommodate only 3U PXI/cPCI instruments.
The design of the MTS-207 provides users with the ability to use the test set in harsh environmental conditions and includes multiple shock-mounts and extensive internal temperature sensors to ensure reliable operation under adverse operating conditions. The test set includes three fan assemblies with four fans each providing dedicated cooling to the PXI chassis and the internal circuitry.
The MTS-207 has an optional remote control and display unit, combining an LCD display with a touch panel. It allows for operation of the unit from a distance in environments where a keyboard and mouse are not functional or practical.
