Linear Technology has introduced wider temperature range versions of its LT1763 and LT1764A high current, low noise linear regulators. The new 'MP' grade features operation from -55°C to +125°C for a wide range of applications including avionics, military, industrial, RF and telecom. The LT1764A is a 3 A LDO with low 40 μV r.m.s. output noise over the 10 Hz to 100 kHz bandwidth, ideal for powering RF circuits. This device can operate from a 2,7-20 V input, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of sources. Output is adjustable between 1,21-20 V. The LT1763 is a 500 mA LDO featuring less than 20 μV r.m.s. output noise over a 10 Hz to 100 kHz bandwidth using only a tiny 0,01 μF bypass capacitor. Supply current is only 30 μA and is reduced to less than 0,5 μA in shutdown. This device operates from 1,8-20 V input supply. It can also operate with capacitors as small as 3,3 μF (ceramic, tantalum, or al-electrolytic). Output voltage is adjustable from 1,22-20 V.
