Central Semiconductor's CMF5.0A series transient voltage suppressors (TVS) are now available packaged in the SOD-123F surface mount case. The series includes reverse stand-off voltages from 5,0 V to 170 V all with a peak power of 200 W. Designed for protecting sensitive electronic components from high voltage transients, these devices are intended for industrial, computer, consumer electronic, and PoE applications. The CMF5.0A series also exhibit very low leakage current, low clamping voltage, and fast response time. An alternative to the larger standard SMB (600 W) devices they use 60% less board space. The SOD-123F, with outline dimensions of 1,8 x 2,8 x 0,98 mm, is essentially the same size as the SOD-123, but the SOD-123F has flat leads providing better circuit board contact area and higher power handling capability (vs. the gull wing leads).
