Schurter’s new power entry module series, the DD21 and DD22, have been designed especially for PCB mounting.
The DD21 product is equipped with multiple functions including appliance connector, switching and fusing, while the DD22 series adds either standard or medical filter. The products are also compact, which makes them suited for use in equipment with low headroom - particularly in the IT and telecom sectors, where equipment is being continually downsized.
The 2-pole switch - rated for inrush current peaks of 100 A capacitive for 3 ms - is available in either illuminated or non-illuminated versions. The series can be equipped with 1- or 2-pole fuse holders for 5 x 20 fuse-links. The DD21 is rated for 8 and 10 A currents; the DD22 series for 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 A. Mounting is by M3 or self-tapping screws onto a PCB or on the rear of the housing.
These power entry modules fulfil IEC/EN 60950 requirements, and are ENEC and UL/CSA approved up to 10 A 250 V a.c. 50 Hz and 8 A 125/250 V a..c. 60 Hz respectively.
