Camden Electronics' fused terminal block incorporates a spare fuse option in the fuse carrier. The design means that if the fuse blows in a circuit, technicians can immediately locate the correct replacement and reset the circuit with minimum delay. The correct spare fuse is safely stored at the point where it is required, becoming available when the fuse carrier is removed from the terminal block.
CFTBN fused terminal blocks are available with a one- to five-pole terminal strip plus 5 x 20 mm fuseholder to IEC257. Meeting IEC creepage and clearance requirements (8 mm), the CFTBN's specifications include IP20 finger protection, 4 mm² cable entry and 10 mm fixing pitch. Screw/dust protection covers are also available as an option.
The CFTBN is claimed to be the first fused terminal block to have both UL and CSA approval (cUR us). Suited for protecting lighting equipment, power supplies, fire and security systems and domestic control applications, the design has IMQ, VDE, SEMKO, FIMKO and DEMKO approvals pending.
