Avago Technologies' ADCC-4050 is a 6,35 mm optical format, 2 megapixel CMOS camera-on-a-chip featuring the enhanced-performance (EP) pixel architecture and image pipe processing technology. With 2,2 μm by 2,2 μm pixels, it is ideal for today's increasingly compact megapixel mobile phones, as well as computing, security and industrial applications. Features include EP pixel, advanced I-Pipe with plausible illuminant (adapts to ambient light), advanced exposure control for brighter non-flash images, 1/4" (6,35 mm) optical format, predictable JPEG compression, enhanced automatic pixel correction that Avago claims is five times better than conventional bad pixel amelioration, and smooth 4X digital zoom to emulate an optical zoom movement. The 4050 features the Enhanced Pixel (EP) architecture enabling high image quality in low light situations.
