To address the aesthetic, ergonomic and functional demands of modern manufacturing, Hoffman Enclosures, part of the Schroff Group, has redesigned its Concept range of operator interface enclosures. Twenty standard enclosures designed for pendant or pedestal-mounted controls deliver functional and attractive integration of new generation flat-screen OI devices including touch- screens and LCD monitors, as well as pushbuttons and other traditional control schemes.
"The feature-rich Concept Enclosures were developed as an ergonomic response to newer monitors and display technology," said Mark Saunders, Hoffman product manager. "These enclosures reflect the requirements of flat-screens, providing more sizes and options for the profusion of computer-driven controls".
A single part number orders a complete enclosure, including a 14-gauge steel body with quarter-turn latching back door, a blank aluminium front plate for easy customisation, and aluminium 'comfort grip' handle extrusions that extend the height of the enclosure. Adding modern aesthetics and improving operator comfort, these extrusions are available in a choice of standard accent colours including blue, red, purple and turquoise, as well as a standard RAL 9005 black polyester powder finish. Other options include attached clipboard/whiteboard, a drive access door, keyboard tray and accessory handles.
Twenty new models are available in a wide range of sizes. Each model is pre-drilled for top mounting using a Series 2 or Series 4 50/60 pendant arm, or a pedestal. Like most Hoffman enclosures, the Concept OI can be easily modified to your needs with over 100 finish colours and textures, holes and cutouts to your specifications, and a complete line of accessories.
