Fast and up-to-date travel information is one of the most important service factors for customers. Travel companies, stations and airports are therefore switching to stationary and mobile information systems for acoustic and visual travel information. One example is the multifunctional information tower, 'FIP' by Hörmann Funkwerk Kölleda, which contains all systems that are relevant for communication with travellers and the supply of information to them.
Together with Hörmann, Schroff developed an enclosure concept for this multifunctional information tower, including cable management and cooling, which corresponds to the specification of the client. The basis for the enclosure was taken from the Schroff standard outdoor enclosure range, which met many of the basic specification requirements. The entire enclosure can be accessed from all sides via doors. This allows the retrofitting of additional modules at anytime.
