Maxim has introduced a small and low-cost temperature sensor designed for thermal monitoring in DDR memory modules.
The MAX6604 device accurately measures temperature (±1°C), converts the temperature to digital format, and makes it available over an I²C-compatible interface.
The MAX6604 continuously monitors the temperature and updates the temperature data eight times per second. This method enhances processing performance by providing a highly accurate reading of the module temperature.
It also includes three address inputs that allow up to eight addresses for this device. The combination of these features makes the MAX6604 the ideal choice in high-performance memory modules for notebook computers.
Offered in the tiny TDFN and TSSOP packages, the MAX6604 operates from -20 to 125°C and works from a 3,0 V to 5,5 V supply.
