Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services
The printer specialist itp systems & solutions offers the Presto series, developed by Computer & Peripherals Integration (CPI) of Germany. It consists of maintenance-free kiosk and ticket printers of high quality and reliability.
These powerful kiosk printers are equipped with high speed thermal printer mechanisms from Fujitsu (up to 200 mm/s), automatic paper cutter, a controller board for USB and serial interface, and a paper holder with paper-near-end and paper-end sensors.
One may choose between 60 or 82,5 mm paper widths and the so-called Blackmark sensor is available as an option, as well as a Presenter for a more comfortable and safer, paper removal. The operating voltage is either 12 or 24 V d.c.
The Presto family is able to deliver a quick print-out in graphic mode, as well as it can print in all common barcodes. Being a most versatile kiosk printer solution, it can be used in various applications such as parking, lottery and gaming terminals, ticketing, queuing systems, info and multimedia kiosk terminals.
Also available is a full set of advanced Windows drivers and a download program to obtain further fonts and logos. This facilitates more efficient system integration as well as customised solutions. All necessary technical support as well as thermal paper is available from itp.
The portfolio also comprises touch panels, panel mount printers and thermal printer components solutions (if an all-round solution is not required).

Understanding solder dross: causes and control strategies
Truth Electronic Manufacturing
Editor's Choice Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services
Dross formation is an inevitable consequence of wave soldering. It occurs when molten solder comes into contact with oxygen, forming metal oxides that float on the surface of the solder bath. Over time, this oxidation byproduct accumulates and must be removed to maintain solder quality and process consistency.
