Projects Concern recently purchased its Fifth Mydata pick-and-place machine from MyKay Tronics, this making it the number one user of Mydata machines in South Africa. According to MyKay Tronics there are 48 in the country.

The MY12E purchased is Mydata's 'extended range' and is one of the best-equipped pick-and-place machines in the world. The machine uses new linear drive technology on the Y-axis, which allows a new 'board train' feature, decreasing loading time and increasing throughput by up to 25%. With an extended range of nozzles, the Mydata machine is already equipped to place components as small as 01005 through to 2577 pin BGA sizes.
Projects Concern says that it attributes its on-going success to its professionalism, dedication to customers and its ability to handle production requirements from small to large batches, whilst its extremely flexible Mydata pick-and-place equipment allows for fast turn-around time for its customers.
A further quality that Projects Concern will enjoy with this purchase, notes MyKay Tronics, is the Line Scan cameras for on-the-fly visioning on either side of the place area. And with the 10 second loading time on the Agillis feeder, which has previously won SMT engineering awards, it adds that Mydata is certainly preparing itself and equipping its customers for the future in the world of electronics production.
