Circuit & System Protection
Pulse’s new line of 10-gigabit (10 Gb) small-form-factor pluggable (XFP) modules offer enhanced EMI protection for 10 Gb Ethernet applications.
They have a cage and connector that comply with the Multisource Agreement 3.0 (MSA 3.0) standard and support OC192/STM-64, 10 Gb Fibre Channel, G.709, and 10 Gb Ethernet protocols in applications such as blade servers, routers, add-drop multiplexers, etc.
Pulse's XFP001/2/3-L series cages support three different heatsink profiles. The standard 1 x 1 cage measures 21,7 x 65,3 x 13,2 mm (w x d x h). It comes with a clip and heatsink. Heatsinks come in three interchangeable height profiles. The XFP001-L is 13,5 mm, the XFP002-L is 6,5 mm, and the XFP003-L is 4,2 mm. The easily installed external clip attaches to the top of the heat-sink and the cage, holding it in place and maintaining a solid mechanical contact between the optical transceiver and heatsink.
