Fujitsu Components Europe's slim, 20 A power relay, the FTR-K3, is targeted primarily to OEMs developing commercial and industrial products. Rated for a maximum load of 20 A at 250 V a.c., the 1Make (1 Form A) relay is suited for switching compressor and inverter loads in air conditioners, refrigerators and other major appliances, as well as for use in office equipment.
This relay consumes a nominal operating power of 780 mW and has an operating temperature range of -40 to 60°C. Dimensions are 30,1 x 15,7 x 23,3 mm (L x W x H). It features an 8 mm clearance distance and a minimum 9,5 mm creepage distance between coil and contacts for high-insulation resistance. It also has a surge withstand voltage of 8500 V (min, 1,2 x 50 μs) and features a 1000 V dielectric strength between contacts and 5000 V dielectric strength between coil to contact.
The relay's expected mechanical life is rated at 2 million operations. and an electrical life of 100 000 operations at rated load (20 A, 250 V a.c.).
The FTR-K3 meets UL, CSA, VDE (pending) and CQC agency approvals. It is constructed of lead-free materials. The series is available with #250 TAB and PCB terminals in 5, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24 V d.c. coil voltages.
