Cut production time with CANbus solutions

21 March 2007 Switches, Relays & Keypads

EAO is offering a new compact CAN module that can be supplied in a fully-approved operator panel that is ready for plugging-in to a wide range of applications. EAO will connect high-quality control-panel components such as pushbuttons, switches, potentiometers, 7-segment displays or any other component to it, and deliver it ready to use within an integrated CANbus solution.

These CANbus solutions are particularly well suited to transportation and specialist vehicles, machinery, process control and panel building. At its heart is the CAN module, a compact unit measuring 70 x 50 x 23 mm. With a high number of I/Os (max. 128 contacts and up to 128 outputs dimmable; eight analog in- and eight analog outputs), this module offers a high ratio of functionality to size.

Using fieldbus systems within the operator's panel reduces the need for large cable harnesses and wiring, therefore cutting installation time, and the self-diagnostic functions make fault-finding much easier. Hardware and software is supplied as part of the solution.
