At this year's CeBIT in Hannover, Schroff was represented as a supplier at the special CEFIS (Centre for information security) display. The 'Safe Computer Centre', a fully-operating computer centre with security and high availability aspects, was displayed. Also on show were solutions based on individual designs.
Schroff presented its 'cabinet infrastructure', a flexible cabinet platform called Varistar, which comes in different assembly versions:
* Varistar LHX20 with server assembly, including Security-Master for monitoring the air/water heat exchanger LHX20, and connection to a chiller.
* Varistar with server assembly and cabling (wiring centre).
* Varistar network cabinet, assembled with various components, such as server, security technology etc.
* Varistar network cabinet without assemblies to demonstrate the 4 zone cabling concept.
The Varistar platform is specific where fixed applications are concerned, but can still be variable for solutions that demand continued changes of internal configurations.

Where heavy-duty servers are used, as in the area of data technology, stability and effective cooling are fundamental requirements. A heavy-duty frame on all Varistar server cabinets offers stability up to a load-carrying capacity of 800 kg on the 19" platform and also offers safety in extreme environmental conditions such as shock and vibration.
With the Varistar LHX20 Schroff offers a cooling concept as an optimum complete cabinet solution for a higher cooling performance.
In network technology (data and telephone distribution) a simple and economic assembly, rational installation and unrestricted cable ducting are the main characteristics. Cable management is a key function and Varistar offers diverse possibilities of cable ducting and fastening through corresponding assembly and accessory parts.
