Mean Well's NSD-10 (10 W) and NSD-15 (15 W) series on-board type DC-DC converter expands the company's DC-DC product lines in the low wattage range for the emerging trend of distributed power application.
Replacing the previous ASD-10H and ASD-15H, the new NSD series maintains the same dimensions and pin assignment, but according to the manufacturer, improves the performance and reduces costs to offer users new choices of higher value.
Featuring 4:1 wide DC input range and 1500 V d.c. input/output isolation, the NSD10/15 series both have two kinds of DC input level - 12 V, 48 V -, and eight kinds of DC output level - 3,3 V, 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V, ±5 V, ±12 V, and ±15 V.
Standard functions include remote ON/OFF control, short-circuit, overload, and over-voltage protections. The 15 W models also have an output voltage trimming function that give users more flexibility for the system design.
These economical supplies are suitable for applications using distributed power architecture that transfer the high DC bus voltage to lower DC working voltage at the location of the load.
