QPL-certified Schottkys for high-reliability power systems

16 May 2007 Power Electronics / Power Management

International Rectifier has introduced a series of high-reliability Schottky rectifiers in accordance to the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) Qualified Products List (QPL). They target high-reliability applications in SMPS, power distribution systems, resonant power converters, and low-voltage motor control. Schottky rectifiers are used primarily in the output stage of a switching power supply. Delivering very low forward voltage drops (Vf) and fast turn-off characteristics (trr), the devices minimise conduction and switching losses in power supply designs. QPL certification ensures repeatable performance regardless of device lot or maturity. These devices feature a 45 to 100 V reverse-voltage range, a 0,69 V to 1,3 V forward-voltage range, and 10 A to 35 A current rating. They come in surface-mount and through-hole packages.
