The ZD3215 from Zywyn is a high current charge-pump based DC/DC converter in the family of high performance white LED driver integrated circuits (ICs) for the high power camera flash, torch and lighting markets.
The device is a low noise, constant frequency, 800 mA regulated charge pump DC/DC converter that uses fractional conversion to increase efficiency in white LED driver applications. It is designed for driving white or RGB LEDs for backlighting LCD displays, camera flash, torch and lighting applications.
The ZD3215 produces a regulated voltage with high current of up to 800 mA from a 2,9 V to 5 V source and is ideally suited for battery-powered applications. A
2-bit control of LED current can be set for 300 mA and 600 mA, which is ideal for high-power torch and flash mode functions. It also has built-in thermal shutdown protection and is available in a 3 x 3 10-pin DFN package.
