Murrelektronik has expanded its portfolio in the field of safety engineering and now offers safety relays in the MIRO product line. "MIRO safety relays offer many options for securing work processes and protecting employees. They can be used to monitor emergency stop circuits and guard doors, control light barriers and light curtains, and implement two-handed controls, and step-on safety foot mats. The wide range of MIRO safety relays permits applications that comply with the requirements of Safety Category 4. This is the highest category according to European Standard 954-1. It provides these relays with the greatest possible risk minimisation, while at the same time affording maximum protection to man and machine.
Since these devices detect danger early, they help to prevent negative consequences resulting from accidents, permit shorter downtimes and reduce the possibility of production outages, thereby giving the user a two-fold financial benefit.
The relays' slim design takes up minimum space in the switch cabinet since their housings are only 22,5 mm wide. Plug-in terminals and simple wiring processes make for rapid installation. Optional double spring-loaded terminals increase flexibility. The user-friendly circuit diagrams attached to the devices cut the risk of faulty wiring to a minimum.
