Structured wiring for data and telephone systems

8 August 2007 Interconnection

An important part of Legrand’s business is the company’s range of structured networking products – the VDI range – which offers a tool-less wiring system for structured wiring of data and telephone systems.

An important part of this system is that it can be installed either at the design stage of a new building or during renovation. The incorporation of Legrand's DLP trunking simplifies future alterations and restructuring.

The VDI patch panel offers flexibility for reconfiguration or modification. The modular patch panel enables users to mix Legrand Cat5e UTP and FTP; Cat6 UTP, FTP and SFTP; 10G and telephone and fibre into the same patch panel frame as required. The Legrand universal RJ45 plug accommodates RJ11, RJ12 or RJ45 jacks. Full fibre-optic solutions and Mosaic flush-mount Wi-Fi access points are offered, using PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology. 19" network cabinets complete the turnkey solution provided by one manufacturer.

DLP trunking and Mosaic switches and sockets offer many electrical options, as well as efficient solutions for data and power requirements. Modern and versatile trunking facilitates easy cable traffic, circuit separation and identification, and allows for layout extension and modifications, maximum safety and speed of installation.

The VDI networking system carries a 20 year performance and product guarantee, if installed by one of the Legrand certified VDI installers.
