ERNI Electronics has expanded its extensive portfolio of modular jack components to include new low profile versions with integrated magnetic filters. Boasting a small footprint, these highly compact network connectors have been designed for heavy-duty applications, are extremely resistant to electromagnetic faults, and are designated for use in compact, powerful RJ45 applications compliant with 10/100 or 10/100/1000 Base-T (gigabit) Ethernet. An innovative 8-core design with capacitors and resistors meets all gigabit Ethernet requirements in switches or hub products, and the product has been configured to deliver voltage insulation and performance complying with FCC and IEEE 802.3 standards.
The new jacks are available in angled single-port versions and are equipped with integrated LEDs for status display. The network plugs are RoHS-compatible and meet the requirements of IEC 60603-7. They can be processed using lead-free wave soldering methods at temperatures of up to 270°C (max. 5 s), and the single-port versions with integrated magnetic filters feature shielding flanges at the top and on both sides for effective grounding.
