By making use of 50° mounting surfaces, Ingun's new spring-loaded tooling pins provide optimal pre-registration of a UUT (unit under test), as well as ensuring that the drilling tolerances of the tooling pin holes of the UUT can be balanced out. This is aided by the 90° combination of the cone-shape and dagger-shape. With proper positioning of the cone-shaped and dagger-shaped tooling pins, both the drilling tolerances of the tooling pin hole diameter as well as the angle off-set are optimally balanced out.
Due to their compact design, they can be mounted directly into the top-plate of the test fixture. In combination with a special guide section with a slide-bearing, these tooling pins enable high-precision customisation with minimum wear.
