New TFT LCDs for industrial handhelds

Sharp Microelectronics has introduced two new 4,3-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio industrial TFT LCD panels (type LQ043T1DG01 and LQ043T1DG02) particularly designed for mobile and industrial handheld applications.

The high brightness of up to 600 cd/m², the anti glare coating and an extended temperature range of -10°C to +70°C ensure an excellent readability even under outdoor and changing ambient light conditions. 16 million colours and a 300:1 contrast ratio substantially contribute to the high image quality of the new displays.

In addition, the LQ043T1DG01 integrates touch functionality, facilitating the design of interactive industrial handheld equipment. Target applications for both displays are portable medical equipment, handheld barcode and RFID readers, GPS/navigation, home automation control, test and measurement equipment as well as security systems.
