Compact and modular odd-form assembly cell

Cencorp’s fourth generation 1000 OF is an odd-form assembly cell featuring a high degree of process automation, suitable for placement of almost any component, including sockets, relays, transformers and displays.

The system features a flexible, modular plug-in concept for components such as grippers, feeders, camera modules and conveyor modules, allowing users to optimise the system for their particular requirements. The vision system utilises a PC-based vision processor and both a downward-looking, gantry-mounted camera with lighting for pattern error correction and an upward-looking camera with lighting for component inspection and/or correlation. A CATS (camera aided teach system) is also implemented.

The graphical user interface is said to be easy to use and runs on Windows XP, with an optional touch screen and the possibility of using dual monitors.
