Intersil recently released the ISL28190, ISL28290, ISL28191 and ISL28291, part of the company's pinPOINT Precision Analog product line. The company claims that these devices deliver noise performance up to four times better than competitive single-supply op-amps, with the ISL28X90 setting the new industry standard for single-supply, rail-to-rail output op-amps at 1,0 nV/rt(Hz), while the ISL28X91 comes in at just 1,7 nV/rt(Hz).
With harmonic distortion (THD+N) at 0,00017% (ISL28X90) and 0,00018% (ISL28X91), this family of rail-to-rail output op-amps is suited to noise-sensitive audio, medical and industrial instrumentation applications. These op-amps are optimised for operation at 5 V and below, with the single channel amplifiers (ISL2819X) offered in a space-saving SOT23 package while the dual channel amplifiers (ISL2829X) are offered in a 10-lead MSOP package.
