Extended connector series for W-SIM cards

Alps Electric has extended its range of connectors for W-SIM cards with the SCZA2 series. The surface-mountable header type connectors feature a compact, low-profile design with external dimensions of only 27,2 mm x 7,95 mm x 4,65 mm (L x W x H). For enhanced user-friendliness, the connectors feature a manual media ejection structure, which allows for easy insertion and removal of the wireless communication modules and guarantees an operating life of 10 000 mating/unmating cycles.
The robust, high-precision card connectors are available as L-type with boss or 0,6 mm type without boss. A double contact structure for both power and ground terminals prevents momentary power failure. The SCZA2 series provides a maximum initial contact resistance of 100 mΩ and an insulation resistance of up to 1000 MΩ. Operating temperatures range between -20°C and +60°C.
