DSP, Micros & Memory
Microchip has announced eight new members of the PIC18F high-performance 8-bit microcontroller family, offering low power consumption, low cost and high performance. The new devices' low-power nanoWatt Technology features include power-managed modes, an operating voltage range of 1,8 V to 3,6 V and efficient on-chip peripherals. The devices also feature a precision internal oscillator that will support full speed (16 MIPS) operation from a 3 V supply. Features and on-chip peripherals include: 8, 16, 32 and 64 KByte Flash program memory options; up to 3936 Bytes of RAM and up to 1 KByte of Data EEPROM memory; a switchable, precision 16 MHz internal oscillator with PLL; two-speed oscillator start-up; extended watchdog timer; programmable brown-out reset with a software-enable option; enhanced low-power Timer; 4-channel, 10-bit PWM module with PWM steering; EUSART with LIN compatibility; master-mode I²C/SPI module with address masking; 10-bit ADC with up to 14 Input Channels; dual rail-to-rail comparators; and an onboard 1,2 V fixed reference. The new family is offered in package options of 28-pin PDIP, SOIC, SSOP and QFN, 40-pin PDIP, and 44-pin TQFP and QFN.
